JP Morgan profit boost

JP Morgan Chase posted a 35pc rise in profits as higher interest rates and lower taxes boosted business.

the Wall Street investment giant, which has 16,000 staff in the UK, said net income rose to £6.1bn in the first quarter of the year.

‘2018 is off to a good start with our businesses performing well across the board,’ said chief executive Jamie Dimon.
