Star DJ Avicii dead aged 28

DANCE music star DJ Avicii was found dead last night aged 28.

The Swedish producer, real name Tim Bergling, had nine UK top ten singles, including two number ones with Wake Me Up and I Could Be The One.

He was also nominated for two Grammy Awards and collaborated with Madonna, Robbie Williams and Coldplay.

Avicii, who had battled acute pancreatitis and retired from touring in 2016 citing exhaustion, was found dead in Oman. Scottish DJ Calvin Harris called him a ‘beautiful soul’.

His publicist said: ‘It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii. The family is devastated.’
