TO COmmEmORAT­E this month’s 75th anniversar­y of the Dambusters raid, today’s newspaper has a special eight-page historic souvenir edition of our original 1943 newspaper.

One side of the poster (top, right) is the striking Simon Atack painting of the last seconds of RAF Lancaster ED925 AJ-m, under the command of John Hopgood as he made his attack on the mohne Dam in the early hours of may 17, 1943 — one of eight aircraft lost during the daring mission.

The reverse (right) features a fabulous graphic depiction of the Avro Lancaster, as seen in today’s Dambusters pullout.
