Tiny label she put on the map
MEGHAN has singled-out the small Scottish fashion house Strathberry twice. The first time was in Nottingham last December. ‘We had no idea that Meghan would be carrying our bag — the £495 Midi Tote,’ says founder Leeanne Hundleby. The 45-year-old mother of four decided on a whim to send Meghan a selection of bags — and so transformed her fledgling brand. ‘Within 11 minutes, it sold out.’ When, in February, Meghan carried the £425 East/West mini bag, it, too, sold out within minutes and the waiting list for new stock grew to 1,000 people.
