SO, WILL CLEESE QUIT BRITAIN?
JOHN Cleese had threatened to leave Britain if the Government won the vote on Press freedom, vowing: ‘I’m out of here.’
The Monty Python star, who has called for tighter Press regulation, urged his Twitter followers to lobby politicians on the issue, adding: ‘I refuse to live in an England like this.’ Last night, after MPs rejected calls for a second Leveson inquiry, he went silent on Twitter, and failed to reply to a message from TV host and journalist Piers Morgan, who asked: ‘Can I get you a cab to the airport?’
Cleese, 78, moved to the tax haven of Monaco in 2012 but now lives with his fourth wife in West London and Bath.
