IT was a family affair on the red carpet at last night’s Bafta TV awards.

Amanda Holden arrived at the Royal Festival Hall in London hand-in-hand with her 12-year-old daughter Alexa.

Miss Holden, 47, wore a £2,225 shocking pink silk gown with a plunging neckline by La Mania, while Alexa matched her mother in a light pink dress with pretty flower detailing.

Her Britain’s Got Talent co-star Declan Donnelly was in good spirits as he stepped out with his pregnant wife Ali Astall, who showed off her blossoming baby bump in a fitted silver sequin gown. Donnelly, 42, and Miss Astall, 40, announced that they were expecting their first child together in March.

This was Donnelly’s first red carpet appearance without his presenting partner Ant McPartlin, who took a step back from his TV career following his drink driving shame in March.

Miss Holden and Donnelly both took to the stage with members of the production team when Britain’s Got Talent won the award for best entertainment programme, with McPartlin being mentioned in passing during the acceptance speech.

Others at the event included Strictly Come Dancing presenter Claudia Winkleman, 46, in a £240 red leopard print wrap dress with a tiered skirt by Ganni.

Former Strictly contestant Abbey Clancy, 32, made an eyecatching entrance in a dress by Reformation that barely covered her chest. Marcella actress Anna Friel, 41, in a green vintage dress from 1952, lost out for best supporting actress to Vanessa Kirby’s portrayal of Princess Margaret in Netflix drama The Crown.

Best actress was Molly Windsor, 20, for her role in BBC1 drama Three Girls, which told the story of the Rochdale grooming scandal, while best actor was Sean Bean, 59, for his role as a priest in another BBC1 drama, Broken.
