Shamed ad boss Sorrell takes £39m hit

Daily Mail - - News -

DISGRACED advertising boss Sir Martin Sorrell had £39million wiped from his fortune after he was forced out of the firm he ran for 32 years.

He was paid £200million between 2010 and 2016 but faced allegations of personal misconduct and the improper use of company funds when he resigned from WPP last month. Sir Martin, 73, saw his

wealth drop from £495million to £456million, taking him from 258th to 285th.

Last week at a conference in New York, Sir Martin pledged to start over again following his ousting and insisted he has no intention of retiring. He said he is ‘going to start again’, adding: ‘I’m not going into voluntary or involuntary retirement.’
