WHO WAS FLYING MYSTERY PLANE?
A PLANE which defied the ban on flying within a three-mile radius of Westminster yesterday remained unidentified last night.
The aircraft, a twin-engined Viking type, flew in over West London just before the wedding ceremony at the Abbey began.
It was about 1, 00ft up and the plane’s roar was heard throughout central London and on the radio.
The breaking of the ban was reported to RAF Headquarters in Uxbridge.
Every RAF station in the United Kingdom was asked to check all plane movements.
