Pledge to put up new homes

-

TAYLOR Wimpey has pledged to build more homes and make better use of its land bank as part of ambitious plans that will also see it boost investor payouts.

The housebuilder wants to cut the time it holds land for by a year, to between four and four-and-ahalf years. Boss Pete Redfern outlined the aims under a strategic plan for the next five to ten years to work its existing land assets ‘harder and smarter’.

The group said improvements to the planning system have made it easier to gain permission, meaning housebuilders do not need to land grab.
