Cellist’s secret concert for royal couple

The teenage cellist whose wedding performance wowed the world had previously given harry and Meghan a private concert.

Sheku Kanneh-Mason told the Daily Mail he was ushered into St George’s Chapel a month ago with the couple. ‘I just played them a bit while they walked around, and for them it was really nice to get a feeling of what it would be like on the day,’ the 19-year-old said. Mr Kanneh- Mason, whose debut album Inspiration shot to the top of the US iTunes pop chart last night, said he had chosen his first two pieces, and the couple had requested his third – Schubert’s Ave Maria.

he added: ‘It was weird to have been in the chapel when it was empty, with just them, and then come back on Saturday when it was full of people.’
