DMGT profits rise
HAlF-year profits at daily Mail and General Trust rose to £113m.
The figure, for the six months to March 30, was up from £41m the previous year.
Revenues fell to £ 746m, from £ 794m, over the same period.
The company, which owns the daily Mail, Mail on sunday and Metro newspapers, said the figure was in line with expectations.
It comes as it is set to make an extra £640m from its 55pc stake in Zoopla, the property website set to be sold for £2.2bn. Chief executive Paul Zwillenberg, said the deal would strengthen the group’s balance sheet.
