Together at the end
WITH tears rolling down my face, I read Hubert Behenna’s moving account about the death of his wife (Letters).
I went through the same experience with my wonderful husband of almost 50 years.
I asked my son if he thought his dad could hear me talking to him. ‘Yes, mum,’ he replied. ‘When I was in an induced coma for three weeks after a cycling accident, I could hear you and dad talking to me. So I know dad could hear you.’
I hope Mr Behenna can take some comfort from knowing that his beloved wife knew he was there with her at the end.
