DO YOU recognise this wellpadded chap guzzling a glass of wine? The shades are perhaps the only clue to his previous persona as a pin-up for a generation of teenage girls.
Believe it or not, he is Duran Duran singer Simon Le Bon, who soon turns 60.
Pictured enjoying an alfresco lunch in Italy, Le Bon had just been on a boat ride around Lake Como, which ended early when the vessel broke down.
No doubt it triggered unpleasant memories of when he ‘looked into the eyes of death’ in 1985 after his racing yacht capsized off the Cornish coast.
