SOUND THE ALARM
Clocks that can help improve your health
This week: Vibralite mini vibrating watch, £45, amazon.co.uk
CLAIM: This is designed for people with a hearing problem or those who want a discreet reminder — the watch can be set to beep or vibrate up to 12 times a day. It can be used to remind you when to take your medication, for example. Each alarm lasts for up to 20 seconds. VERDICT: Dr Clare Morrison, a GP from medexpress.co.uk, says: ‘In my experience, the more complicated the treatment regimen, the more likely patients will forget some of their tablets. So for those taking medication more than once a day, it would be a real help. But it doesn’t tell you what each alarm is for, so it would have limited use for those with memory problems, such as dementia, as they need to remember.’
