NHS ripped off

-

tHrOWING money at the NHs will only partially do the job.

My daughter has renal failure, is awaiting a kidney transplant and requires dialysis four times a day at home. the ward sister suggested I buy a 2kg scale to weigh the dialysis fluid bags when my daughter visits me. I bought one online for £12.

On our next visit to the renal unit, the ward sister told me the hospital is charged £60 for each scale by their supplier.

Before retiring last year as a state registered Nurse, my colleagues and I complained of waste on a daily basis. restructuring is required throughout the health service or the money given to the NHs will never reach where it is needed.

Name supplied, Newbury, Berks.
