THE TSARINA’S EMERALD TIARA

THE tiara was made especially for the Tsarina by the Russian court jeweller Bolin and was part of a matching set of jewels. It’s made from South African diamonds and emeralds that are believed to have come from Colombia, hence the reason it is sometimes called ‘The Colombia tiara’. It features a 23-carat emerald mounted at the front. Unusually for a tiara, it forms a complete circle.
