THEY are famous the world over for playing in red, but that counts for little with the marketing machines of Manchester United and Liverpool. Both clubs wore their third-choice kits in Michigan, making it a clash between the dark blues of United and the light greys of Liverpool. At least the American fans added a bit of colour by wearing the more traditional red.
