Jamboree struck by vomiting bug
MORE than 40 scouts and guides needed medical treatment when a jamboree was hit by a vomiting outbreak.
Some 5,000 have been attending the annual Norjam jamboree at the Norfolk Showground in Norwich. Organisers said the source of the illness had been identified and that all victims were treated at the festival’s medical centre.
A spokesman said: ‘Norjam are working closely with Public Health England. Less than 1 per cent of the jamboree have been affected. Parents have been informed and arrangements made to take them home.’
