AS THE culinary contest returns for a new run, 20 familiar faces begin their quest to be crowned this year’s Celebrity MasterChef. In this week’s opening heat, the first five contestants tackle a trio of tough challenges in a bid to demonstrate their talent to judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace. Tonight, actor Keith Allen, former rugby star Martin Bayfield, The One Show’s Michelle Ackerley, Union J’s Josh Cuthbert and T’Pau singer Carol Decker (pictured) are faced with opening the infamous Mystery Box. In the second heat tomorrow (8.30pm), the four remaining candidates will, for the first time, be split into two teams of two, each tasked with cooking the same dish — identical in both appearance and flavour. Cooking doesn’t get tougher than this.
