Sterling out of Spain game

- By MATT LAWTON Chief Sports Reporter

RAHEEM STERLING is out of Saturday’s Nations League clash with Spain at Wembley after withdrawing from the England squad with a back injury. Sterling played the entire match for Manchester City against Newcastle on Saturday, crowning a fine display with a goal. Gareth Southgate deployed Sterling as his No 10 behind Harry Kane at the World Cup and that role could now go to Adam Lallana or Dele Alli. The England boss has not called up a replacement for Sterling.
