A MARRIED millionaire hedge fund manager was accused of rape by his mistress after he refused to leave his wife, a court has heard.

The 55- year- old met up regularly for sex sessions with Simin Doyich, 44, after meeting her on the Illicit Encounters dating website.

The couple even went abroad for luxury ‘business’ trips.

But she started sending him messages threatening to reveal the affair unless he promised he would not have sex with his wife without Doyich approving it, a jury was told. When Doyich became pregnant, the businessman ended the affair and she told police she had been raped.

The mistress, who is on trial at Inner London Crown Court charged with stalking, later took to social media to broadcast details of their relationship, and even posted pictures of her unborn child on Twitter.

Prosecutor Jenny Burgess said: ‘This is a case about a married couple who, over the course of seven to eight months, were subject to a campaign of harassment What he wanted was a little bit of fun. He did not intend to leave his wife and made this abundantly clear to Miss Doyich from the outset. However, he soon came to the realisation she wanted more.’

The businessman became concerned after Doyich sent angry messages questioning why he had gone out with his wife and accusing him of still sleeping with her.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, broke off contact with his lover, but began seeing her again after she apologised.

The pair visited Zurich on a ‘business trip’ on February 7 last year, but Doyich became angry again when her lover texted his wife.

They then had sex in his office a few days later – acting out a scene from the film Fifty Shades of Grey – before they went back to his home where they had sex in a spare room. At the time his wife and young sons were on holiday in Lanzarote.

During a Valentine’s Day trip to Paris the mistress became angry again after she caught her lover once again texting his wife.

Doyich revealed she was pregnant before threatening to tell her lover’s wife. After once again being dumped by the businessman, Doyich made more than 80 unwanted silent phone calls and emailed him about her pregnancy.

Doyich then publicly posted their sexually-fuelled WhatsApp messages and began attacking the businessman and his wife on Twitter. She called her lover’s wife ‘ugly’ and her family ‘trashy’, and posted links to articles about couples having ‘sexless marriages’ and emojis of excrement and pig faces.

Doyich dropped her rape allegation after suffering a miscarriage. But the day after being charged with stalking she asked for the investigation to be re-opened.

The businessman told jurors: ‘I started to receive a barrage of messages from the defendant, the gist of which was that she would reveal to my wife what had been going on unless I emailed her back or WhatsApped her back, unless I issue a statement that I would never have sex with my wife again unless the defendant approved it. I wanted just to shut her up, so I did it.’

A few days later he went to join his wife and children in Lanzarote, where his mistress continued her threats. He said: ‘ She sent me an image of her putting Agent Provocateur underwear in an envelope, stating that she was going to post it to my home address to be there when we got back from Lanzarote.

‘My wife became completely aware that something was going on. I was under a lot of pressure, I had obviously acted terribly foolishly but I wanted to come clean so I confessed to my wife.’

Describing the campaign of silent phone calls, the hedge fund manager added: ‘I felt under siege.’

Doyich, of West Hampstead, London, denies two counts of stalking causing serious alarm or distress.

The trial continues.
