FANS F of University Challenge will remember Eric Monkman and Bobby B Seagull, the rival co contestants whose uni unique personalities and amazing knowledge shot them to wider fame. And now, they’ve been signed up to host this new, four-part series in which they travel across the UK in search of hidden gems of British scientific and technological ingenuity — discovering things that even they didn’t know. It’s a genial if slight affair that, in the opening episode, includes a visit to Southport’s Lawnmower Museum and to the Jodrell Bank Observatory.
