Relief for North Sea rig workers

-

SHELL is ditching a hated and tiring rota for its North Sea rig workers, the oil major said.

Workers will work two weeks offshore, three weeks onshore, compared to the current shifts of four weeks offshore and three weeks onshore.

Shell has 800 offshore workers in the British North Sea.

Workers at rival Total have gone on strike in recent weeks over rota patterns.
