-

THOUSANDS of miles of rail routes were lost when the notorious Dr Beeching swung his axe in the early Sixties, but what happened to the disused lines? Well, that’s what the likeable engineer Rob Bell is going g g to find out as he takes us for a walk along these forgotten tracks in this lovely six-part series. The first episode takes Rob (pictured) on a scenic Scottish adventure along the old route from Elgin, where an elegant station still stands, to the coastal village of Portsoy.
