Grand Designs, 9pm, Ch4

TONIGHT’S epic build, inspired by a glass-andsteel home made famous by the Eighties film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, is a real roller-coaster. Not only does Kevin McCloud start jigging uncomfortably when he hears the timeline, but the budget is worryingly low and, in between all the nail-biting that follows, a real tragedy occurs.
