All sorts in mail room

RoYAl mail has asked the public to stop posting used Walkers Crisps packets (in a protest about them not being recyclable) as these delay the sorting of other post.

sorters have to deal with much worse. one night on the conveyor feeding the sorting machinery, I had to deal with the remains of a fish supper; a pair of ladies’ jeans; a pair of knickers and a used condom (someone had obviously had a good time!)

This sort of thing is not that uncommon, along with babies’ dummies, bags of dog poo, chewing gum and even hypodermic needles.
