No Ronaldo, no problem, as Dybala bags a treble

- By SPENCER MORGAN

CRISTIANO RONALDO watched from the stands as Paulo Dybala inspired Juventus to victory over Young Boys to make it two wins from two in Group H. The Portuguese, serving a one-game suspension following his dismissal against Valencia, was joined by his family as he watched Dybala net a hat-trick to demolish the Swiss side in Turin. Juve were in control from the outset and Dybala made their strong start count after only five minutes with a volleyed finish from Leonardo Bonucci’s lofted through ball. Massimiliano Allegri’s men did not let up and got their reward shortly before the break when Young Boys goalkeeper David von Ballmoos spilled Blaise Matuidi’s drilled effort into the path of Dybala, who swept home. The Argentina forward completed his hat-trick in the 69th minute when he tapped in Juan Cuadrado’s cross. ‘Obviously it’s easier with Cristiano but we have to always be focused, when he’s playing and when he’s not playing,’ said Dybala. Things went from bad to worse for Young Boys as Mohamed Camara’s swinging arm struck Dybala, resulting in a second booking, leaving Young Boys with 10 men for the closing stages. Elsewhere, holders Real Madrid were stunned by CSKA Moscow, losing 1-0 in the Russian capital. Everton loanee Nikola Vlasic scored the only goal for CSKA, who had goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev sent off for dissent in stoppage time. Real have now failed to win any of their last three games and have gone three matches without scoring for the first time in almost 12 years.
