pickler Damien Hirst reveals an unlikely source of inspiration for his work. ‘I’d pore over the gory pics in the illustrated Bible at my school,’ he reveals. ‘Sex and death, apparently they are a bit close. Never quite got that myself but I know what they mean. But to me death always seemed violent and maybe exciting rather than sexy.’
