THE
feud between Kinks songwriter Sir Ray Davies and his guitarist brother Dave may be thawing. The estranged siblings attended a London gallery photo exhibition marking a 50th anniversary edition of the classic album The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society. Although Sir Ray acknowledged Dave’s contribution to the record, the pair were reluctant to pose for a photograph together. Recalling the album’s narrative of national decline, Sir Ray said: ‘When we made it, the country was in a bit of a mess. So not much has changed.’
