We got beaten 8-0 and by the way, we were unlucky. I am telling you. I’m not winding you up. I should have had us 2-0 up. I missed two sitters. They had John Barnes, Nigel Callaghan, Luther Blissett and they absolutely ripped us apart. It was the opening of a scoreboard. Every time a goal went in, there were these wee men shown on the scoreboard that used to jump up and down to celebrate. By the time the seventh went in, they were all hanging on to each other, shattered. We went for a beer afterwards and were shell-shocked. Alan Durban was the manager and we stopped somewhere in Yorkshire for a pint. We sat there in stunned silence.
