MUST ROB A WIN
WALES must win one of their remaining two Six Nations fixtures or face a repeat of their nightmare last World Cup draw at Japan 2019. Defeat to Scotland on Saturday saw Rob Howley’s (above) side slip to seventh in World Rugby’s rankings. And If the Welsh fail to beat either Ireland or France they will drop out of the world’s top eight, leaving them to face two of the game’s best sides in the pool stages in two years’ time. Wales had both England and Australia in their 2015 pool and Howley knows that the results of his team’s next two games will have immediate and longterm consequences. The World Cup draw is in May based on rankings at the end of this Six Nations.
