CHRISTY MOOREHOUSE fired ten points, in WICKLOW’S 0-17 to 0-16 win over LONDON in Aughrim yesterday in the Christy Ring Cup. London led by 0-11 to 0-8 at half-time, but Wicklow’s Eoin Mccormack fired a 73rd minute winner with the final puck of the game. Dublin native Kevin O’loughlin was London’s top-scorer with 0-9 (6f). Ulster champions ANTRIM snatched a hard earned 3-20 to 2-22 win over CARLOW after extra time at Netwatch Cullen Park. Carlow led by four points early in the second period of extra-time, but the Saffrons never gave up, with James Mcnaughton firing the winner. Gareth Johnson’s arrival as a second half substitute helped swing the game in favour of DOWN to take a 2-24 to 1-20 win over ROSCOMMON at Ballycran. Five points in arrears early in the second half, Paul Sheehan was strong from frees and Eoghan Sands netted a goal five minutes from time. David Reidy fired 13 points in KILDARE’S 0-17 to 0-16 win over 14-man MAYO in Ballina.
