Snooker’s Ronnie O’sullivan opens up in the ITV documentary Paragon on Wednesday. It features Royal Marines commando Andy Grant, severely injured in a bomb blast in Afghanistan. After losing his right leg, he set out on a journey to become the world’s fastest amputee over 10K. The documentary, shot over a year, charts his story to his record-breaking performance, along the way taking advice from friends and big names, including Ronnie, Jamie Carragher and Scott Quinnell. Ronnie tells Andy: “When I got into running it was a release from all the pressure and anxiety. I had been on medication to control those anxieties. “Rather than dishing out pills, I go out for a walk or a run. A healthy body and healthy mind is what makes champions.”
