PILGRIM’S Pride was first founded as a Texas feed store by brothers Aubrey and Bo Pilgrim in 1946. It is now the biggest producer in America and Puerto Rico and the second largest in Mexico. The Brazilian-owned firm moved its base to Colorado in 2011. It employs 42,000 people and is the world’s second biggest producer. Pilgrim can process more than 34 million chickens a week.
