IF a sec­ond EU ref­er­en­dum was held now, would Bri­tons vote how they did more than 15 months ago in the na­tion-split­ting poll?

We asked vot­ers in Birm­ing­ham city cen­tre, with a 0.8% ma­jor­ity for Leave in last year’s poll, if their views have changed.

“It made sense for us to stay in the EU for eco­nomic rea­sons. I think peo­ple didn’t re­ally know what they were vot­ing for, as the ref­er­en­dum was quite mis­lead­ing at times.”

“Peo­ple come over here to work but it’s a small coun­try with not that much space. I like green spa­ces but more and more houses are be­ing built on them.”
