Daily Mirror (Northern Ireland) - - NEWS -

A MAN whose skull was fractured in a horrific attack suffers “pathological laughter” as a result – giggling when he is upset.

Paul Pugh, 37, was in a coma for two months after being kicked in the head in the 2007 attack by four men who were later jailed.

When doctors told him the extent of his injuries he burst out laughing. Paul of Ammanford near Swansea said: “I was crying, but it came out as laughter.”

The condition has finally been diagnosed years later.
