Man denies ‘stab attack murder bid’
A MAN was stabbed repeatedly in an attempted murder at a house, a court heard yesterday.
The victim, in his 20s, needed 30 stitches on his head and body following the alleged attack off South Belfast’s Ravenhill Road.
Liam Clarke, 23, from with an address at Ardoyne Road in the north of the city denies attempted murder.
He claimed he was attacked by people who called to the house at Ballynafoy Close on Tuesday.
Appearing before Belfast Magistrates’ Court, Clarke spoke only to confirm he understood the charges.
District Judge Broderick remanded Clarke in custody to appear by video-link on December 7.
