CSI box sets for computer
COMPUTERS have been trained to solve complex problems – by watching US crime drama CSI.
Scientists taught artificial intelligence machines to identify a perpetrator from their behaviour.
The model succeeded 60% of the time compared to humans on 85%. It could play a role in developing devices for real-world jobs.
Dr Lea Frermann, of the University of Edinburgh, said it performed “encouragingly well”.
