‘I knifed ex to end bleating’

A MUM has been jailed for 11 years for trying to kill her ex-boyfriend to stop his “bleating”.

Gillian Mckenzie, 53, told police after the knife attack: “I tried to put him out of his misery.”

The mum-of-two, from Ashford, Kent, added: “I was really fed up having to hear his constant moaning.” Victim Jonathan Ingham, 55, survived.

Mckenzie, a heavy drinker, was found guilty of attempted murder at Canterbury crown court.
