Cash taken in garage heist Passer-by helps nab thief
A SERVICE station has been robbed in an overnight heist in which burglars entered through the roof and cut the electricity yesterday morning.
A sum of cash has been reported stolen from the Gosford Road filling station in Markethill, Co Armagh.
Sergeant Shannon said: “An alarm at the property was activated around 4.20am.
“We believe that the electricity supply to this building was deliberately cut during the burglary in which a sum of money was stolen.
“No one was in the service station at the time of the incident. “
