TOSUN VOW TO BECOME BOX OFFICE

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

CENK TOSUN claims he can be Everton’s fox in the box.

The Turkey forward (above), who is set to make his debut against Tottenham tomorrow, said: “I am a very good and dangerous striker when I am in the penalty box.

“It’s a great plus that I can use both feet. If I get a chance in the penalty box, I usually score. I can also say that I am very strong, which is important in England.

“But there are still things that I can work at and improve.”

Everton have struggled in the Premier League because they have only netted 25 times this term.

The £27million signing from Besiktas, who bagged 14 goals in the first half of the season, is set to take on that responsibility.

“I think I’m ready,” he said. “We have a very good team. And, in the second half of the season, I’m hoping to score a lot more goals.”

Tosun, 26, added: “I scored a lot of goals last year. It was the best season of my career. This year, in the Champions League, I scored four, with two assists in six games.

“The English Premier League is a very good league and you need to think as if every week you are playing in the Champions League.

“I promise that I will run until I drop and work hard for this club.”
