Blues sign up Tomane

LEINSTER have signed Australia international Joe Tomane from Montpellier in a bid to fill the void created by the retirement of Isa Nacewa.

Tomane, 28, can play on the wing or at centre and, crucially, he does not count as a ‘non-european’ player due to the fact that he holds a Samoan passport.

“Joe has played in a number of different environments in Australia and most recently in France,” said Leinster head coach Leo Cullen.

“I think he will add considerably to the group.”
