O’leary says tourists face ‘meltdown’
TRAVELLERS could face a summer of holiday chaos over threatened strikes by air traffic controllers on the continent, Ryanair warned yesterday.
The airline called for action by the European Commission and EU governments to stop the “alarming deterioration” in ATC services.
Ryanair chief Michael O’leary fears a “full meltdown” resulting in delays or even cancelled flights.
He said: “Yet again this weekend French ATC will strike leading to hundreds of flights being cancelled, disrupting the holiday plans of thousands of passengers.”
