Cooking up support for ill Matthew
KINDHEARTED primary school pupils have launched a celebrity cookbook in support of their sick classmate.
When Matthew Mckeegan, 11, was diagnosed with leukaemia in February, his pals in P7 at Park Lodge Primary School, in North Belfast, decided to help.
Celebrities Really Can Cook features contributions from 60 stars including snow Patrol’s Johnny Mcdaid and his wife Courtney Cox, Eamonn Holmes, Mickey Bradley from the Undertones and AP Mccoy.
Matthew’s mum Caitriona, 44, said: “The school has been so supportive and it’s a lovely thing for him to feel part of it. they did a great job.”
All proceeds will go to the Children’s Cancer Unit Charity at Royal Victoria Hospital.
