A tear­ful last good­bye for Mir­ror’s Ann

FAM­ILY, friends and col­leagues said farewell to much-loved Mir­ror jour­nal­ist Ann Sten­house at her fu­neral yes­ter­day.

St Maryle­bone Cre­ma­to­rium in North Lon­don was packed for the mum of one, who died from can­cer aged 41 on May 29.

Trib­utes were paid by dad Dave, brother Dave ju­nior, part­ner Sophie, pal Dan Bourke and oth­ers.

Quick-wit­ted and kind, Ann joined the Mir­ror group in 2002 and be­came a cham­pion of equal­ity and fair­ness in the many roles she held with our papers.

She leaves be­hind Sophie and son Louie, two.

Mir­ror Edi­tor Ali­son Phillips said: “Ann was smart, funny and huge­hearted – the em­bod­i­ment of our val­ues and be­liefs.”
