Man suf­fers stab wounds to the neck

A MAN was hos­pi­talised with “se­ri­ous” in­juries af­ter an early morn­ing stab­bing yes­ter­day.

The 24-year-old vic­tim is re­ported to have suf­fered two wounds to the neck in the in­ci­dent in West Belfast.

It took place in the Car­ri­gart Av­enue area shortly af­ter 4.15am.

A po­lice spokesman said: “A 32-year-old man was ar­rested for griev­ous bod­ily harm with in­tent, dis­or­derly be­hav­iour and as­sault on po­lice. He is cur­rently as­sist­ing po­lice with their in­quiries.”

De­tec­tives have ap­pealed for in­for­ma­tion.
