Arson attack ‘hate crime’
A FAMILY of five escaped injury after an arson attack on their home that is being treated as a “racial hate crime”.
Accelerant was poured through the letterbox of the house in Hyndford Street, East Belfast, just after midnight yesterday.
A man, believed to be Romanian, was able to put the fire out but the family were left “badly shaken”.
Police said a window and door were damaged in the “reckless” attack.
