Migrants call 999 in dinghy
SEVEN suspected illegal immigrants were rescued from a dinghy in the Channel after calling 999 for help in rough waters.
HM Coastguard and an RNLI lifeboat intercepted them two miles off Dover, Kent, yesterday.
Border Force said the men, aged between 19 and 54, claimed to be Iranian.
The Home Office said: “They are now being interviewed by immigration officials. The alarm was raised by those on board the vessel.”
