YOU SAY

The letter from the gentleman who can no longer take part in sport while waiting for a knee op (Dear Coleen, Jan 31) struck a chord with me. I wholeheartedly agree with your advice about continuing to meet up socially with his sporting buddies, as I do! Until September, I was in the pool most days, swimming and doing aqua-fit classes, and taking the opportunity to socialise. Now it’s just the coffee and chat as I’m having chemotherapy for CLL (chronic lymphocytic leukaemia). My compromised immune system means I can’t use the pool and I do miss it. Roll on spring when my treatment should be over.
