LIGHTS OUT FOR WINKS

- BY ADRIAN KAJUMBA

TOTTENHAM have been warned they are in for a much tougher Champions League test against Dortmund this time around.

The two sides will renew their rivalry from last season’s competition when Spurs won both group stage games. But Dortmund are stronger this season, and are sitting five points clear at the top of the Bundesliga. Jadon Sancho (left), ineligible for the Germans’ group campaign last season, said: “I watched those games, but I feel like we have improved, so it won’t be the same as last year.

“It will be more difficult for Spurs. Especially as they have some big players missing.”

Sancho is friends with a number of Tottenham stars as they are all teammates at international level with England. He said: “It was mainly Harry Winks (above) who I talked to in the squad. We were both new. He welcomed me and I’m good friends with Harry now. We’ve stayed in contact. There were a few conversations after the draw with Dele Alli and Harry. Now I have a feeling we’re going to win.”
